Garden Path

If you were standing here, what would you do?  Follow the path, of course!

That’s what paths do.  They guide you through your garden.  And around every bend, you can place a little surprise.  Herbs in a container.  An old wagon.  An exotic cactus.  The trickling sound of a fountain.

By the way, this was taken at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.  But you don’t need a massive area to create your own garden path.  Look at your landscape and how you travel through it.  Build a path and, if it doesn’t work for you, build another.

Nothing in a garden is permanent…except for maybe an Ironweed tree or a Saguaro.
